Virat Kohli hits 26th Test century, equal to Steve Smith-Gary Sobers, many records broken

Indian skipper Virat Kohli has scored a century in the second match of the three-match series against South Africa in Pune. This is the 26th Test century of his Test career. He completed his century on the 173rd ball. Wrath made 26th century off South African fast bowler Vernon Flander through a beautiful straight drive.

Virat Kohli, along with his 26th century in the longest format of the game, has become the 21st player in the world and fourth in India. Earlier, Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid and Sunil Gavaskar have made it. However, the Indian captain has played only 81 Test matches to achieve this success.

This is Virat Kohli's first Test century this year. In addition, this is his first hundred in the last ten Test innings. Not so, with Virat Kohli as captain in 19 Tests and the Australian legend Ricky Ponting. Ricky ponting also scored 19 test centuries as a captain.The former captain of south Africa Graeme smith also included in this list.  Ponting and Virat Kohli are second after them. Then comes Alan Border, Steve Waugh and Steve Smith. All three have scored 15-15 Test centuries as captain.
