The host team is batting in the first innings of the Pinkball Test between Pakistan and Australia, and at the end of the first day, Kangaroos scored 302 for a loss.
In the match played in Adelaide, Australian captain Tim Paine won the toss and decided to bat first.
Australia scored 70 for the loss of one wicket that the match was stopped due to rain. After the rain, the match resumed, but by the end of the game, the Pakistani bowlers could not get any wickets.
Australia's only outfielder, Joe Burns, scored four runs off Shahan Afridi's catch behind the wickets.
The first day ended when David Warner (166) and Marnus Laboshin (126) were on the wicket with a 294-run partnership between the two.
Australia has retained its team while the Pakistani team has made three changes for the second test.
The 19-year-old fast bowler, Mohammad Musa, is debuting his test, having been added to the squad instead of young fast bowler Naseem Shah. Former captain Wasim Akram wears a test cap.
Imam ul Haq and Mohammad Abbas have also been included in the team instead of Harris Sohail and Imran Khan.
