The fifth edition of the Pakistan Super League launches with a colorful opening ceremony

The fifth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) kicks off at the National Stadium in Karachi with a colorful opening ceremony. For the PSL's first inauguration in Karachi, the National Stadium and the sides were decorated with electronic dignitaries and posters of Pakistani flags and local and foreign players were displayed on the streets of Quaid-e-Azam. Several artists including singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Sajjad Ali, Ali Azmat, Arif Lohar, Asim Azhar, Aima Baig, Sanam Marvi and Aaron performed at the opening ceremony of the fifth edition of Pakistan Super League. Extreme security arrangements were also made throughout the city on this occasion. At the end of the inaugural event, the fireworks were put on display after which preparations for the inaugural match began between defending champions Quetta Gladiators and Islamabad United.
