Movies based on the stories of superheroes are becoming very popular these days and almost every Hollywood actor is trying to be associated with some comic book franchise. DC Comics' 'Batman' is one of those characters that virtually every Hollywood actor, big or small, looks eager to do. Not only the actors, but also the fans of Batman are keeping a close eye on who will be the new Batman. The role of Batman is of special importance in the DC Universe, which is why it is always a matter of debate as to which actor will play the role of Batman. After weeks of rumors, Warner Bros. Studios has now announced that Robert Pattinson, the actor who rose to fame with the title role in the next film in the 'Batman' series, will play the title role.
Shooting for the film will begin later this year or next year, and will be directed by Planet of the Apes director Matt Reeves.
Robert Pattinson will play the young Bruce Wayne in the Batman series, which is expected to release on June 25, 2021. According to Warner Bros. Studio sources, three trilogies of the Batman franchise will be made with Robert Pattinson and the first film will shed light on the early life of the superhero (Batman).
It is also expected that the film will feature three female characters, Kate Woman, The Penguin and The Riddle, in negative roles compared to Batman.
Robert Pattinson The right choice?
Robert Pattinson will be the ninth actor to play the role created by DC Comics on screen. The last time Ben Affleck played the role before Pattinson was in director Zac Snyder's Batman v Superman and Justice League. Before Affleck, this iconic Hollywood role was played by Christian Bell, George Clooney and Will Klummer.
Since these strong roles have been played by big Hollywood actors in the past, fans of the Batman series are not happy with the choice of DC Comics' Robert Pattinson. In fact, comic book fans are also strange creatures and rarely look happy with any decision from film studios. Especially if that decision is about casting a famous character. Because this is not the first time that fans have criticized the choice of actor to play the role of Batman.
In the 1995 release of Batman for Ever, fans did not like the role of Val Kilmer Batman. Similarly, the team of Chris O'Donnell, George Clooney and Alisha Silverstone could not save 'Batman and Robin' released in 1997 and fans still consider it the most exhausting film of the entire series. Many fans were not happy with the choice of Christian Bell, but director Christopher Nolan's three-film series has so far managed to portray Batman best on the big screen. Furthermore, ever since DC Comics introduced the 'Justice League' characters to the big screen, public opinion has been divided about these films and Ben Affleck's role.
Robert Pattinson's recent performance
Earlier this year, the Twilight star played the role of a prisoner in Clare Dennis' science fiction thriller High Life. The film was critically acclaimed. Pattinson also starred in Robert Eger's recent horror film The Lighthouse. Pattinson's lively performance in the film was echoed at the recent Cannes Film Festival. Robert Pattinson will also be working on Christopher Nolan's next mysterious film soon. The film, which is set to release at the IMAX theaters in 2020, is said to be one of the most memorable events in cinema history.
Career look
Robert Pattinson began modeling at the age of 12 and acting at the age of 15. He is also interested in singing and music.
He calls music his "backup plan" and will pursue music as a career if he fails to act.
Robert Pattinson has acted in a number of films, but he is best known for his role as Edward Colin in Stephen Meyer's Twilight series. Born in London, UK on May 13, 1986, Robert Pattinson first became widely known for his role in Harry Potter's 2005 film Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Despite working in Harry Potter, Robert Pattinson surprisingly had reservations about auditioning for the role of Edward in Stephanie Meyer's Twilight.
In fact, after auditioning despite reservations, when he was selected for the role, he was severely criticized by fans that he would not be suitable for the role of Edward. Fortunately, Edward of Twilight proved wrong not only Pattinson but also his fans. Pattinson is now facing similar criticism for choosing the "Batman" character. Will he prove his critics wrong in the role of 'Batman' like Edward of Twilight, we pray that it will be so.
Robert Pattinson will now become Batman
